About Me

Eileen FolanI am a complementary therapist. I believe strongly that good food and natural medicines have an important role in maintaining and restoring health and should be given greater consideration alongside orthodox medical treatments.

I am passionate about herbs and natural healthcare. I am constantly amazed by the healing powers of plants. I value the gentle healing properties and absence of side effects of most  herbs, compared to many modern pharmaceutical medicines.

I am a holistic practitioner. I work with the whole person, not just the specific symptoms of their illness. I work with you to try to find the cause of illness, so that we can address this through diet, lifestyle or herbal medicine.

I am a highly qualified Medical Herbalist and Nutritional Therapist. I graduated from the University of Westminster with a first class honours degree (BSc) in Health Sciences and Herbal Medicine. I also have a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy from the College of Naturopathic Medicine, London.  I combine nutritional guidance with herbal medicine to get the best results for you.

My BSc studies  included anatomy and physiology, pathology, pharmacology, botany, bio-chemistry and phyto-chemistry, as well as herbal medicine training. This means I have been educated to work with other health professionals.

My training also included 500 hours of herbal clinical practice and 200 hours in nutrition clinics.
